Chris is a former environmental consultant who could never quite turn away from his sometimes unhealthy obsession with videogames. During his time in consulting, he moonlighted as a reviewer for GamingworldX.com and made a casual attempt to break in to the industry. Realizing that his native mid-Atlantic area had very little to offer, Chris gave up his game job dreams and resigned himself to simple fandom. After spending several years working for a respected D.C. area engineering firm in the stormwater management field, Chris left in 2004 to pursue an interest in restauranteuring. He managed restaurants and bartended for a time, all the while kicking around the idea of opening his own videogame-centered restaurant (still might).
Chris gamed in obscurity for years on the East Coast. Then one day, a chance meeting with Doug and Tracie changed his life forever. He learned about Reverb and knew right away it was the opportunity he’d been looking for. He left for California 4 weeks later. These days he resides in greater Twain Harte and is a proud member of Reverb’s PR team.
Chris’ history with videogames can be traced all the way back to the early days of the Atari 2600, when he was the fiercest Kaboom! player in three counties and an accomplished Decathalete. He has gamed on almost every console ever produced and maintains an impressive array of classic systems to this day (Pong machine, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, Atari Lynx) . All time favorites titles include: Kid Icarus (NES), Street Fighter II series (arcade), Twisted Metal 2 (PS), Super Empire Strikes Back (SNES), Super Metroid (SNES), Star Wars KOTOR (Xbox), Metal Gear Solid (PS, GC), ESPN NFL 2K5 (Xbox), Quake 3 (PC), Worms World Party (DC), Ico (PS2), God of War II (PS2), and too many more to mention.
Chris brings to the firm a strong history of client service experience and an unbridled enthusiasm for gaming. He is a Delaware native and graduate of the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Geology. .
